Zimbabwean footballers have commenced the voting process for the FIFA/FIFPro World XI best players. Zimbabwe got involved in the process in 2011 when Footballers Union of Zimbabwe received a total of 50 ballots. In 2012 the number of ballots increased to 200 ballots which were distributed across the country to Premier Soccer League players with an average of 18 players per club casting their vote.
The year 2013 has seen us receiving a massive 500 ballots to involve more players in the voting process. All players in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League will cast their votes and we have extended the voting to the Division 1 League where players have also cast their votes for the first time.
We are also proud of the fact that this year's ballot papers have the face of a Zimbabwean player, Edgar Tapera of Harare City who was the first to cast his vote in 2012. Other players on the ballot are Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronalo, Yaya Toure and four others.
Below are the How Mine FC players after voting.
